Properties:

It is colorless transparent liquid, non-toxic and non-corrosive. Melting point 10℃,Boiling point 246℃(0.101MPa),Specific gravity(20℃)1.116,Refractive index=1.4380.It can be miscible with water and low grade alcohols,and easily soluble in general organic solvents.N-Acetylmorpholine is chemically stable under general conditions,and its thermal decomposition temperature is more than 230℃. Under the action of heat and strong acid, it can undergo acidolytic reaction to produce morpholine salt and acetic acid.

Uses:

N-acetylmorpholine is a very important pesticide intermediate, is one of the main raw materials for the synthesis of agricultural fungicide enoymorpholine, flumorpholine.The mixture of N-acetylmorpholine and N-formylmorpholine is an excellent natural gas and syngas acid gas remover, used in the new Morphysorb process developed by foreign countries in recent years. The extraction of low quality natural gas or synthesis gas requires the removal of trace components such as CO2 and H2S, and the use of physical solvents is particularly advantageous for gases with high CO2 and H2S content.
